Want to know where you can watch Fireworks this Independence Day? Local celebrations start as early as this Saturday, June 30th. We compiled a short list of festivities featuring fireworks across the Mid-Ohio Valley:

Marietta: The Independence Day Celebration takes place at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 30th with Fireworks at 10 p.m. Festivities kick off at 1 p.m., with vendors, games, and drag racing throughout the day. You can also watch from the Valley Gem on the Fireworks Cruise! Although it falls after the 4th, you can continue your celebrating with the Marietta Riverfront Roar, July 6th – 8th. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 7th down on the levee.

Parkersburg: Fireworks will be at City Park starting at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4th as part of the week-long celebration hosted by the American Legion Post 15. The celebration begins Monday, July 2nd and ends Saturday, July 7th and includes carnival rides open evenings throughout the week and all day Saturday. You can also grab tickets to board the Island Bell for the Ringing of the Bell ceremony on the 4th, from 2 – 4 p.m. The bell will be rung 13 times to commemorate the 13 original colonies.

Beverly/Waterford: Watch Fireworks from the Beverly-Waterford Community Pool during the Fireworks Party on Wednesday, July 4th from 8:30 – 10:30 p.m. The $5.00 admission includes a free bag of popcorn.

Newport: Fireworks will wrap up the Annual Fireman’s Festival on Saturday, June 30th. The Festival begins at 11 a.m. with the parade, followed by games and concessions at the Newport Volunteer Fire Department. Fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. You can also check out the ‘Rats by the River II’ Car & Bike Show from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at The Jug.

Senecaville: Head to Seneca Lake Park for an Independence Day Celebration from 6 – 10 p.m. at the Beach. Starting at 6 p.m., Balloon Artist, Dennis Regling will be making animals for all ages. At 7 p.m., there will be live music. The New Silver Eagle Band at the Beach and The Dirty Mule Band at Marina Point Pavilion will be playing until right up until the Fireworks. Fireworks will begin at Dusk. Gate entrance is $8.00 per vehicle for the entire day.

Athens: Fireworks will be held on Tuesday, July 3rd at 10 p.m. as part of the two-day Fabulous Fourth Celebration, and will be able to be seen all the way down East State Street. The Fabulous Fourth Celebration includes a car show, a 5k walk/run, a parade, and much more. If one night of fireworks isn’t enough, you can catch a second showing on Wednesday, July 4th at Hocking Hill’s College Campus in Nelsonville.

McConnelsville: The 4th of July Celebration on Saturday, June 30th featuring food, games, music, and vendors. Phil Dirt and the Dozers will be playing, there will be a parade, capped with Fireworks in the evening.

Woodsfield: The Celebration will begin around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3rd, just after dusk in the Monroe Memorial Park.
