Marietta Main Street is excited to announce the third season of the Farmers Market on Front Street, beginning May 15th and running through August 21st. The hours of operation will be 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every Tuesday rain or shine. In 2017, over 3,800 people visited the Market and 25 vendors participated. Marietta Main Street expects the third season to see larger numbers of visitors and new vendors.

For the 2018 season, the Market will be located at the Armory Lawn on Front Street. This location enables the community to buy homegrown produce and handmade goods in the heart of downtown while supporting small businesses and local farms. Community members can take advantage of nutritional food choices while buying directly from the growers and makers.

The mid-week Market is an opportunity for vendors to reach a wider audience and for farmers to sell produce at its peak of freshness. Other participants such as local non-profits will provide educational and interactive activities to promote healthy lifestyles.

“Our farmers market is focused on encouraging community members to support small business, build relationships with growers and makers, and promote nutritional food choices through education. We hope it becomes a weekly stop in everyone’s summer schedule,” says Cristie Thomas, Executive Director of Marietta Main Street.

Community members and downtown employees are encouraged to stop and enjoy the beautiful Ohio River landscape while shopping the Farmers Market on Front Street.
