Trick-or-Treating times for Marietta, Parkersburg, and the Mid-Ohio Valley

Tis the season for spooky sounds, creepy costumes, and way more candy than any child ever truly needs. Looking for trick-or-treat times for your neighborhood? We’ve rounded up this year’s schedule across the Mid-Ohio Valley, including local haunted trails, haunted houses, and Halloween block parties. OHIO

Athens:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by the Halloween Parade at 6:45 p.m. and Game Night at the Athens Community Center starting at 7:00 p.m. hosted by Kiwanis. The Halloween in Athens Block Party is all day/night on Court Street, on Saturday, October 26th. The Athens Uptown Business Association (AUBA)’s Trick or Treat is on Monday, October 28th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Barlow/Vincent:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. “Trunk-or-Treat” is on Saturday, October 19th, 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Washington County Career Center on 676.

Belpre:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Belpre Volunteer Fire Department is hosting their Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 26th at the Belpre BINGO hall from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Beverly:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Beverly Library’s Fall Storybook Park is on Saturday, October 26th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m at Dodge Park, featuring storybooks, fall games and activities, spooky stories, and much more.

Coolville:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Gallia County/Gallipolis:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 24th, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the City of Gallipolis. For the rest of Gallia County, Trick or Treat is Thursday, October 31st from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Marietta:  City-wide Trick or Treat is on Saturday, October 26th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. At noon on Saturday, the Marietta Halloween Parade will begin at noon and head down Third Street to Putnam, ending at Muskingum Park for “Halloween in the Park.” Over in Harmar, Main Street West is hosting a Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 26th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Harmar Train Yard next to The Busy Bee.

Starting at 5:00 p.m., the Peoples Bank Theatre is hosting a Family Trick or Treat Festival! This two-part festival includes a multitude of events for people of all ages. Starting at 5:00 p.m., a section of Putnam Street will be closed for the little ones to enjoy a street party filled with jumpy houses, food and soda, and more! Then, when you need a break from the gut-busting good time outside, you can enter the not-so-spooky haunted house inside and enjoy carnival games. Outside fun is free. There is a cost of $5 to enter the fun-filled spooky theatre. The Theatre is an allergy-friendly stop. Once the sun begins to set at 7:00 p.m., however, the ghouls will come out. For those looking for a spooktacular time, join the Peoples Bank Threat for a Disco Monster Mash and a night-time of scares! There will be a DJ, costume contests, drinks & snacks, games, prizes, and more!

McConnelsville:  Trick or Treat is Thursday, October 31st from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Nelsonville:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

New Matamoras: Trick or Treat is on Saturday, October 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. followed by costume judging at 8:00 p.m. at the Fire Hall.

Newport: Trick or Treat is on Saturday, October 26th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Plains:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Racine:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a Kids Party at the Firehouse at 7:00 p.m.

Reedsville: Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 24th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Rio Grande:  Trick or Treat will be held on Thursday, October 31st from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in conjunction with the Village Block Party from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

WEST VIRGINIA

Elizabeth:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Hurricane: On Friday, October 25th, you can trick or treat with your favorite fairytale princesses, villains, and heroes at Valley Park! Festivities begin at 6:00 p.m., with trick or treating ending at 8:00 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., Valley Park will pop-up the big screen for a showing of “Hocus Pocus!”

Jackson:  On October 25th and 26th, check out the Haunted Trail from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This 1/2 mile walk can be found at the Jackson County Junior Fairgrounds in Cottageville, WV and is fun for adults and kids! Enjoy spooky wagon rides, face painting, a photo booth, and a petting zoo, in addition to the haunted trail.

Lubeck:  The Lubeck PTA is hosting Trick or Treat Indoors at Lubeck Elementary School on Friday, November 1st at 6:00 p.m. until supplies last!

On Saturday, October 19th at dark, head to the Haunted Trail at the Lubeck Volunteer Fire Department. Tickets are $5.00 per person. Meet at the Fire Dept. to get your tickets and ride the hay wagon to the back of LVFD property where the Haunted Trail will start. No flashlights will be permitted on the trail.

Middlebourne:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Mineral Wells:  On October 18th, 19th, 25th & 26th is the 10th Annual “New Era One Room School House Museum” at the Mineral Wells Elementary School, 1838 Elizabeth Pike. Admission is $3.00 per person and includes a haunted school tour and a haunted train ride. Drift Run Church is hosting a Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Paden City: Trick or Treat is Tuesday, October 29th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., following the Parade at 6:00 p.m.

Parkersburg:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Downtown PKB’s Monster Mash is on Saturday, October 26th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Downtown Parkersburg and is fun for the whole family with children’s activities and trick-or-treat giveaways.

WVU Parkersburg is hosting a Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 24th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the lower lot near the Learning Center. There will also be a Trunk or Treat at the Veterans Museum on 7th Street from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th.

Ravenswood:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Ripley:  Trick or Treat is Thursday, October 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Haunted House at 108 Academy Drive in Ripley is open each Friday & Saturday from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. through November 2nd.

Saint Marys:  Trick or Treat in Saint Marys and Belmont will be on Saturday, October 26th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. From 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., the Boys & Girls Club of Pleasants County is hosting their 2nd Annual Halloween Block Party which includes a haunted house, and Trunk or Treat!

Vienna:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Vienna Public Library is hosting a Disney-themed Trick or Treat on Monday, October 28th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Trick or Treat for Dogs & Parade will be on Saturday, October 26th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Jackson Dog Park off 34th Street.

Williamstown:  Trick or Treat is on Thursday, October 31st, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
