Sarah ArnoldThis Saturday, Clutch MOV is hosting our second Instameet in partnership with Hidden Marietta, the Castle, and Marietta Main Street! Join us for a walking tour of sorts through historic, downtown Marietta. If you aren’t familiar with the term Instameet, never fear – it’s just a fancy word for meeting up with fellow instagrammers and taking pictures. Last summer, we hosted an Instameet at Blennerhassett Island and had the opportunity to meet talented amateur and professional photographers from across the Mid-Ohio Valley!
There is no cost to join the fun – we will meet in front of Third Street Deli at 1:30pm. We’ll be visiting five of the most endangered structures in Marietta – buildings and structures that are in dire need of assistance. First stop is the Bosworth House on Third Street. Next, we’ll head over to the Mid-Ohio Valley Players building on Putnam Street, and then down to the Wine Shop on Front. We’ll cross the Harmar Railroad Bridge (the fourth structure) and then – the grand finale – the Anchorage, one of Marietta’s most stunning buildings. Afterwards, we’ll end up at the Harmar Tavern for anyone who would like to grab something to eat or drink!
Whether you are a novice or professional photographer, or not a photographer at all, we hope you’ll join us for a fun excursion through downtown! You’re bound to make at least one new friend and learn something new along the way.
