Last fall, two graphic design students at the Columbus College of Art & Design teamed up to spark some motivation within themselves and their fellow students. The mysterious duo, who go by the name Dangerdust, stealthily sneak into the Loann Crane Center and vandalize the 4′ x 6′ chalkboard on the third floor with motivational quotes each week. I would hardly call it vandalism as each chalk creation is a work of art in its own right. “When you’re working on long, extended projects for graphic design classes, it’s easy to…lose motivation,” they said. “I think we’re tired of the computer and [chalking] gives us motivation.” The artists wish to remain unnamed, but here is a sampling of their amazing work. A few of their favorite designs are available for purchase as prints in their shop.
