When you reside in the MOV some may think there aren’t many opportunities to get dressed to the nines. When you don’t live in a big city, it’s easy to get in the mindset of dressing casual for a lot of occasions. Let’s face it, we are living in a much more casual world in a lot of ways. But, one of my favorite things is getting dressed up for anything I can.

Take for instance going to a concert or play at The Peoples Bank Theater. This beautiful, historic theater makes for the perfect place to wear something special. Here are a few examples of what you can wear while visiting the theater:

For those, like me that enjoy getting dressed up I recommend visiting Teri Ann’s for a show stopping dress. Below are two great examples of what they have to make you feel special. This red dress brings all the drama that is appropriate for a nice play or symphony.

This stunning blue cold-shoulder dress is also appropriate for an edgier look. Want it to be more casual? Toss on a leather jacket and you’re ready to go from theater appropriate to downtown local bar-hopping.

Maybe you’re going to a more casual event during the day at the theater or something family-friendly.  These two looks from Dad’s Primitive Workbench would work perfectly. Not sure about wearing jean shorts to the theater? It’s all about doing your research and finding out about any specific dress code. Always go with your comfort level when attending an event. I finished off some of these looks with accessories from Wit & Whimzy to add some texture and metals.
One of my favorite things about attending a concert is that you can practically play dress-up to fit the theme of the concert. Take for instance a country concert. Why not have fun with your look and go full-out country star. Schafer Leather is the perfect place to help you dress the part. From cowboy hats and boots to accessories they can help you complete your look.

It’s amazing what all treasures you can find in downtown Marietta. All of these looks can be found on Front Street where there’s plenty more shops to visit. Also, next time you’re looking for something fun and exciting to do, visit The Peoples Bank Theater’s website for upcoming shows and events.
