Campus Martius and Ohio River Museums have a new name for their largest fundraiser of the year. Campus Martius Experience (formerly known as An Evening At the Museum) will take place on Friday, November 17, 2017 starting at 6:00PM.
“The event allows supporters to enjoy an exciting night in the museum where they can truly have a meaningful experience”, noted Friends of the Museum Board President Charlotte Keim. “ We changed the name this year because we really feel that you will have much more than just an evening at the museum. We truly have a treasure in this city and we want more people to benefit from it and help us make it continue to grow and prosper with new exhibits and necessary building updates.”
The theme of the event is “Two centuries of history and discovery squeezed into one unforgettable evening.”
The event will feature food stations on all three floors of the museum where visitors can sample food from a variety of restaurants and caterers from the area.
Included this year will be food from The Galley, Spagnas, Bistro 134 and Parkhurst. To satisfy the sweet tooth, Putnam Chocolates and Whit’s Frozen Custard will also be on hand. Wine and soft drinks will be available as visitors enjoy live music by the popular Dan Rees Trio specializing in jazz and pop standards.
“A special treat this year will be that guests to Campus Martius Experience will get a VIP preview of our new exhibit which will be unveiled that evening but will officially open to museum visitors the next day”, noted Ms. Keim.
Tickets are $55 per person and are available at Campus Martius Museum, from Museum Board Members or by phone at 740.373.3750. Three tickets will be drawn during the evening to win a $50 museum store gift certificate.
Campus Martius Museum is located at 601 Second Street in Marietta.
